When it comes to gift giving, we want our gifts to come across as thoughtful, tasteful, and creative; but sometimes we just end up stumped and the art of gift giving becomes stressful.
Lucky for you I’m here to tell you a few gift giving tips and direct you to the best places to find unique gifts throughout the Midwest.
The most important trick in giving a gift, is giving one when it is least expected. Giving a gift out of the blue is a great way to tell a person you care about them and they will be thrilled.
A well decorated package also adds to the thoughtfulness of your gift. Always do an exceptional job of wrapping a gift and it will go along ways. And if the person at the counter offers to gift wrap it for you always say yes! If it looks nice then you can add to it and if you don’t like it then you can simply take it apart and gift wrap it the way you like.
Make sure to have a well thought out card which is on the outside of the gift. Your words can go a very long way and if you’re not great with words then keep it simple and sweet. The anticipation of the gift is half the fun so try to be creative and lead up with something that will excite them right before opening the awesome present you have picked out!
Gift packages are the best way to go. Unless a person has asked for something specifically then it is important to give them options. Buy multiple items that are inexpensive and bunch them together. The only thing better then getting a gift is getting multiple gifts!
The best places to go in the Midwest for unique and thoughtful gifts are Dakota Plains Gallery and Gifts, Homestead Embroidery and Gifts, Engels Jewelry and Saving Thyme Quilts and Gifts.
