Smith Bros Meats, The business started out as a fresh meat retail store and on-the-farm butchering service with complete processing services, including venison and wild game. In 1992, the company expanded into the wholesale business by traveling in a 50 mile radius supplying grocery and convenience stores with our own variety of custom meat. In 1996, the catering service that can serve up to 2,000 people was developed. There is a variety of different menus for all kinds of different needs.
Peoples Meat Market, People’s Meat Market has been family owned and operated since 1938 and is the only full service meat market in Portage County. They only sell choice beef in their store. Halves and quarters are from a local farm in which they work very closely with the farmers to ensure quality. All halves and quarters they sell are Black Angus.

Although Hoff’s still slaughters today, 90% of the business is retail sales. Hoff’s has won over 30 awards for their delicious meat and their specialty is the classic Wisconsin brat.
